Hello, Sort of New. . .

Hey, like the title says, I'm sort of new. I have a schipperke and poodle, and really want a Chihuahua... does anybody have any advice on the small little 'tigers'? :confused:

Just be prepared for a dog with energy levels that are unbelievable:). They bark a lot, depending on the dogs.

I had a Chihuahua that just showed up at my place one day, she was very timid, but a real joy. At first I wasn't sure we would keep her because as a child I remember riding my bike and always having those little dogs running after me and nipping at my feet. She was nothing like that, a really good pet! (she passed away,old age a few months ago) Some people were scared of her, she would smile:) (they thought she was showing her teeth at them) but you could just say "taco, smile, and she would just show everytooth in her mouth. The ones I know are less friendly (not in a mean way) than most dogs, but I wouldn't have traded mine for anything!!She adored my daughter, and even followed her up into their treehouse, of course I had to go get her down, but she was very loyal!

Thanks guys! Especially charm38! Yeah, I have heard bad news about chihuahuas but the ones I see seem sooo nice and quiet. Thanks for the information. I'll just go pester my mom into gettin me one. Thank you guys very much! :)
