well theres frontline flea spray also spot on which you dab on behind the back of the head or a safer way a flea comb which kills the fleas as soon as they come into contact with the comb its battery operated i dont like using chemicals so i either use the comb or garlic in the food as fleas dont like the taste of it

you need to bathe the dog( this will drown the fleas that are on him now.) Then I would suggest the frontline(this will kill fleas& ticks that jump on the dog) But, you need to clean the enviroment of fleas or even frontline won't work! wash his bedding, spray or dust the yard. And vaccum your floors, carpeting and furniture.(I put a flea collar in my vaccum bag, this keeps me from having to empty the bag after each use,by killing the fleas in the bag) Fleas have like a 10 day life cycle, so everything above needs to be done again to kill any eggs that may have hatched. It's a pain in the butt, but after you control it,there is nothing to it with regular bathes and frontline:)
Frontline states it can last every 3 months, I apply mine every month 1/2.
If he is getting the fleas from the other dogs at work, the bath and frontline should do it!

HI
Frontline is one of the best products on the market. Some of the other brands try to treat more than fleas and so do not do all very well. We have been using Frontline on our dogs for years and found it very effective.

I say don't use flee collars. I am a groomer and I have seen many dogs that have loss of hair around the neck from them and they also cause the dog to itch more. Plus they smell horrible. If you take one out of the package there is white powder on them. This is the medicine. Think of it this way: You have a necklace laced with medicine to KILL fleas on you neck all the time and never take it off. Would you get irritated and lose hair and get rashes?
The bes thing to do is to remove all animals and people from your home and get it bombed or sprayed. Get the advantage or front line from the vet and apply it to all animals. That is the best way to get rid of fleas.
