Hi all! I was just thinking we could create a post here that lists tips for new puppy owners to help them with training, etc. I'll start with one--please feel free to add to the list:
1. Be consistent.
2.

Research the bloodline THOROUGHLY for hereditary health problems that your puppy may have.
Such as the Pembroke Welsh Corgi can have canine hip dysplasia. Trust me, you don't want your puppy (or your dog when it gets older) to have.

Hi PrincessCare,
I've got myself a 10 w/o Labrador cross and want to know how to reinforce 'potty training' whilst I'm at work?!?
It seems that all my hard work falls to the way side once I'm out the door every morning.
Thank you,
Tania

Well one thing you can do is take the pup outside before you leave for work for a potty break and place the pup in a confined area like a crate. But at ten weeks the pup will not be able to hold his/her poop and pee for very long.
