:DWe're new here but we see that this is the place to recall some of the insane things dogs do. A few months ago, I went down to one of our ponds to fix a fountain. Koda came with me and I threw some tools on the ground and got in the pond. When I turned around, Koda was in the pond with me and as he had just come from the groomers, I told him to get out of the pond. I was just about to go back to work when I noticed him over the tools on the ground. One of his favorite tricks is to steal my tools and hide them so I yelled at him not to even think about it. I started working but kept at watch from the corner of my eye and sure enough he starts inching towards to tools. When he was over them and slowly dropping his head to pick up a tool, I yelled at him again not to do that. He looks at me straight in the eye, takes two steps forward and pees on my tools.
Yesterday, after herding, his adrenaline was so high, he wouldn't drink water. They had a kiddie's pool set up with water for the dogs to drink from so I took him over. He started to walk away so I pulled him back and told him to drink. He walked away again and I pulled him back again. This time, he stopped beside the pool, looked at me and raised his leg and took a pee. Koda is going to drive me nuts.

So Funny !!!! It seems like the only defense dogs have against us humans, is to pee !! I had a little Pomeranian once, that got all wet outside from the rain. I brought her inside and dried her off with a towel, she didn't like it one bit. So, when I sat down in my easy chair, she jumped up in my lap, put her front paws on my chest, looked me right in the eye, and proceeded to pee all down my front side. I couldn't do a thing but laugh. She got me back for sure !!!!

Oh the boys can play dirty can't they? We had a Blue Merhl Australian Shepherd, I've posted about him before. My husband got him as a pup and we merged our family when he was 5 and my Ridgeback was 4....oh the dirty things Digger (the Aussie) taught my one well mannered Bruno! Digger was always peeing on things...fortunately outside...made Dave nuts...the lawnmower, weed wacker...and anything new brought into the yard...including chairs...just anything. The first time Digger was out in the yard when we moved into our home in AZ...I was just standing there...next thing I know HE MARKED ME! He was very proud of himself too...so as I am standing there in shock...over comes my Bruno...I think to soothe me....NO, HE GOT THE OTHER SIDE...I guess I was the turf in the turf war...LOL...what can ya do??? Now, the lab, Moose...he is a theif to the bone! He will "retrieve" anything not tied down...laundry, tools, and he has a particular passion for the cardboard tube from the papertowel rolls....has even managed to get a few from a full roll, without chewing up the papertowl...a true talent...if he is in and I am upstairs...all the throw rugs from downstairs are brought up...then I just go downstairs and he brings them all back down! He is also fascinated with ice cubes (my own fault, they all love a nice metal dog bowl full of them...fun in the summer) so he sits as close as he can to ya until your drink is down and only ice left in your cup...usually he doesn't drool unless he's aslepp...but if it's ice cubes it's like he is a faucet that is turned on..amazing...so all you can do is share and try not to let the cubes tinkle against the glass or you are done for and he will be on you like stink on a monkey....I think it's quite hysterical myself...I just dont let him in when we have company....:D
