How old are the puppies when they start getting any coloring? Are they born the color they will be or do they change? We have a litter that is 3 weeks old. One that was born black, but is getting brown on the legs up to about where it "elbow" is. What is normal, what should I expect?:confused:

Lab pups are born pretty much the color they're going to be as adults. Depending on the parents, etc. You could get blacks/chocolates/yellows in a litter. If you've got a large litter and need a way to identify them easily, you might invest in some Critter Collars. You can find them on the web. Good luck!!
