koi-ness

why? I recently adopted a four-year-old pug who had previously lived in an outdoor kennel. It took a few days to housetrain her but she got it down pretty quickly. Everything was fine for more than a month but she recently started pooping and peeing at night sometimes.
Nothing has changed with her diet or walking routine. I do not suspect that anything is medically wrong with her. One thing I have noticed is that she does not seem to know that going inside is wrong. Whereas other housebroken dogs that I have had become deeply ashamed when they have an accident, she runs around her mess as happy as ever. We used all positive training techniques to housebreak her but I need her to understand that going inside is wrong. It's hard because I'm asleep so I can't punish her when it would actually be meaningful to her. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can train her out of this bad habit? Thanks!
