2 year old lazy Rot weiler

I put a leash on him and run with him every day but after a few minutes he will just lie down and no matter how i pull he wont get up. He is very fat; he eats about a kilo of dogfood (eukanuba) a day. I think he might get sick if he just lies around all the time. How do I bring up his drive and make him more lively.

u put him on a diet in order to lose the excess fat and become healthier...then while running,stand in front of him and call him to u,when he heads towards u take a few steps back and so on...its very important that he loses weight or nothing will change the fact that hes lazy and at the beginning,he doesnt wanna run,stop running and walk slowly maybe itll help
