how can i train my indoor dog to become an outdoor dog?

since my dog was a pup (hes nearly 2 now), hes stayed inside and slept inside with me but i still trained him to do his business outside. with a baby soon on the way id rather have him stay primarily outside now but im having troubles. iv bought him a doggie house and put all his toys and bed but he cries and howls all day unless someone sits with him. any tips? would appreciate it

have u tried spending some time outside with him...my dogs hate it when they are put outside,they try to break the door in order to get inside...just make sure he gets fed outside and all...but spend time with him outdoors that would show him that outside does not mean isolation...becoz if he sees it as isolation then he is seeing it as punishment...also let him go inside from time to time...the first week let it be 2hrs a day and make the time less as time goes by...dt let him feel neglected or abandoned...
