She is a 1 yr old shih tzu. I have tried everything to stop her from eating things outside. Whenever we go to the park she finds bones, other dogs poop, even small dead birds. She picks it up so fast and i try to watch her so she doesn't take anything but sometimes i dont see her grab anything. She holds it in her mouth and doesn't want to drop it. I tried giving her a treat to put it down but she doesn't. I tried holding her on a short leash and not letting her go anywhere... i've tried to tell her to drop it but nothing.. i've tried taking it out of her mouth but she ends up biting me hard.. i've tried everything..
does anyone know what i can do to make her stop?? please?

Sew her mouth shut.

You must you positive reinforcment. First, you must start from the very begining of dog training. Teach her the basic commands like sit, stay and drop. Once you teach her these commands, you should be on the road. You shih tzu will learn to drop the feces or anything she is taking into her mouth when you say the command. When, she drops the feces or stuff, praise her really good and then take her away from the area. Good Luck!

ur dog is NOT supposed to bite u no matter what...if shes young, her bite wont hurt just imagine when she gets older...u can try putting a muzzle on her when u take her out...she gets to smell what is around her and not be able to grab anything...after a while she should get used to the fact that she can only smell things...give it a try and let us know...best of luck
