you should tie her in the truck bed so she wont jump out. maybe after a while it should work so you dont have to worry about it any more

Hey there! Just a suggestion from someone who watched a dog get killed when it jumped out of the bed of the pick up truck that was traveling in front of us....make sure they are secure back there!

We just lost our Australian Shepherd, he was a blue merhle, he was 12 yrs old and died of old age in his sleep ...anyway, he was a working dog and loved to ride around on the farm while we worked...after I saw the above incident happen many years ago, I don't believe in letting a dog ride loose in a truck bed at any time...the guy whose dog was killed told me he had driven around with the dog in back for years and never had any problems, I don't mean to preach or scare you...its just never safe!

Anyway we got one of those huge cage kennels that are completely cage and open on all sides...it was about $70 @ Walmart....he loved it. We put it in the back of the truck and he would jump right in. We invested in a shell for our truck also, complete with split window into cab and sliding screened windows along the side....the dogs love it and I know that they are secure at all times, the truck has a split window too, so I open both of those and they get a great breeze and can stick there heads in the cab with us and get love and treats too.... Just always make sure your dog is safe and secure!

Good luck,
Tammy

I also hate to see a dog in the bed of a truck unsecured. Scares me to death. You never know when they will jump, it's just their nature. I would hate to see you loose your dog, especially like that. I had one jump out of the back of a truck, and my hubby at the time said it would never happen, but, it did. Luckily, the dog survived. Plz be careful !!
