teary eyes.what should i do?

i bought a 3 month old male beagle last week. when he wakes up he has clean eyes. but when i feed him or walk or just play with him i noticed that he will have teary eyes that will leave wet trail on his face. so people will ask me "is your dog crying?" the only time that i see him with clean eyes is when he sleep and when he wakes up. is this natural for a dog? and FYI this is my first time to have a dog.

hey,
i took my dog to the vet a while back becoz he had teary eyes...to my horror,i discover he has to have an operation...
it might be nothing but just to be on the safe side, take ur dog to the vet and let him check if his eyes close properly or if he has extra skin around the eyes...if he does then he needs an operation when hes older or he will go blind...
