My Little Bon Bon

[I have to share my Bassett Hound with everybody ,because i lost Bonnie to cancer. I had her for 11 years. She was the best child God could ever send me. I had to have her put to sleep On Oct. 29. , and i have cried everyday, but i know she is not hurting anymore. I miss her so much. Her brother Rebel ( Cocker Spaniel) is taking it pretty rough also. He lays around , unlike him alot , he misses his sister very much. I want to get another Bassett Hound but I want him or her to be just like Bonnie. By the way i adopted Bonnie from a man who kept her tied up in the yard and didnt love on her. She hated men. She is at the Rainbow Bridge now. I still want to hear her bark when i come home,or when i am peeling potatoes she loved the skin she would sit at the garbage can and (woof) at me till I gave a peel. Those memories I will always cherish. Seems like yesterday I was bringing her home. I wish I could bring her home again!!!(

Hi Rebekah,

I'm very sorry to hear about Bonnie. I know words are unlikely to help at times like this, but you will always have the memories she gave you and that is a blessing few share.

Poor Rebel, I'm sure he misses her as much as you do. I really wish you both the best and hope you start feeling better soon.
