this isn't a story about me or my dog, but i was watching animal planet the other day and they were showing one of those animal ER shows. this one was about a dog that had been found wondering around and was starving to death. they took the dog in and found that it had had a leg injury in the past and its previous owners had gotten it fixed. the problem was that the screws they had used to fix the bone were coming back out and causing an infection in her blood. they couldn't find the owners and everyone was wondering what had happened to them because she was obviously a loved dog and was very friendly and sweet to everyone and if they didn't find the owners then they couldn't operate and she would die from the infection. so one of the veterinarians decided to operate on her for free. they had to remove the leg and give her medication but other than that she was fine and recovered well. she stayed at the hospital until they found her a home because everyone who worked there loved her so much they couldn't give her to a shelter. she ended up being adopted by a couple who had a three-legged cat. at the end you saw the employees of the hospital taking her to their house and they were all crying they loved her so much.
