Hello Dog Forum Members Once Again! ^_~

Here you can share with us about your own personal top 10 favorite purebreds here and even top 10 of least favorite purebreds. I would love to hear your reasons why you picked them, although that part is optional. It would be interesting to see what everyone who posts has to say of there own personal taste. Do you think 10 is an reasonable number? I'll write my list tomorrow after I get my night's sleep.

 :( :o

Can't fall asleep. I can't believe I'm still up. I might as well finish the list. I don't exactly have an order for my favorites, but these are ten of my favorites!!!

Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Obviously)
Golden Retriever (Everyone loves them)
Alaskan Malamute
Siberian Husky (I know these 2 are close!)
Chihuahua (Long-Haired)
Afghan Hound (Such long hair)
Saluki (So elegant)
Collie (Family Favorite)
Greyhound/Whippet (Both about the same. Great runners)
Pug (ugly, but lovable!)

Ok, my reasons (this might be long! Hope I don't bore you to death!)
Corgis because they have been my favorite for a really long time, with their stocky figure. Golden Retrievers because theyr'e so gentle, affectionate, and I like their temperament. Alaskan Malamutes because they're so beautiful and strong. Siberian Huskies for pretty much the same reason. Chihuahuas because they're sometimes so cute, especially the long-haired. Afghan Hounds because they have such long, silky hair, and are still so graceful. Salukis because they're so elegant, graceful, have a good temperament, and their puppies are so cute :) Greyhounds and Whippets because they are such fast runners, and their bodies are so lean. Pugs because, well, they aren't exactly cute, but they're really adorable. :)

Satisfied? LOL Joking

Top 10:

Rhodesian Ridgebacks
Black and Tan Coonhound
Bloodhound
Irish Wolfhound
Labrador Retriever
Great Dane
German Shepherd
Australian Shepherd
Mastiff
Dog de Bordeaux (spelling???)

Least 5
Doberman (husband attacked by one)
Chow (squirley devils)

That's it...I know, all dogs can be a product of their environment, I was a vet tech for 5 years before becoming a nurse...I never met a Chow that wasn't just plain shady....the cockers were always pretty agressive too...none of the giant breeds or large dogs every did anything agressive, even when severely injured or sick...

Needless to say, I love em all !!! Purebred, or mixed, don't really matter to me, lol. But, I have a list of some of the dogs I have had in the past, and here it is..... Dachshund, Chow Chow, Chihuhua, Pomeranian, Grey Timberwolf, Italian Greyhound, Pekeneise, Siberian Husky [ loving dogs ], and several mixed breeds. All were great dogs, but the Grey Timberwolves are very hard to handle. Not recommended to just anyone. I don't think I'd have another one, too unpredictable.

I think that my most favorite breeds are the ones that I've had. I guess a just know more about them having had them. Right now my favorite is Westies since I have a puppy now and I had one before him for 17 years until he passed away a year ago. I guess I'll write a list of the others that I've had throughout the years. 1) St. Bernards 2) Yorkies 3) Collie 4)Golden retrievers. My daughter owns 2 Akita's I love theem too. She also has a Siberian Husky puppy, which I'm crazy about shes just beautiful . I guess that I just love dogs, but I do favor certain ones. There are some that I would never want, but that doesn't mean that there not loving and loyal, I think dogs are just great companions no matter what breed they are.

Favorites-

1, Miniature Australina Shepherd My favorite breed, because they're adorable, incredibly smart, energetic, and the perfect size!
2, Border Collie Very cute and smart, and I used to own a Border Collie X!
3, Corgi (Both varieties) Probably the cutest breed in the world!!
4, Shetland Sheepdog Adorable, smart, also perfect size.
5, Schipperke REALLY cute, looks like a fox! And I think it's awesome that they were used on ships. They're pirate dogs!!
6, Australian Shepherd Same reason I like the Mini Aussie, 'cept they're just a bit bigger!
7, Samoyed Gorgeous breed, though I don't know too much about the history or temperment.
8, Keeshond Same as the Samoyed!
9, Great Pyranese I just think they look like big lovable polar bears!! If I had a herd of sheep and I lived someplace cold, I'd totally get one of these!
10, St. Bernard Again, they just look like big soft lovable dogs.

I guess I have a thing for fluffy dogs, as well as smart dogs! I don't really like dogs with really short fur, like a Boxer, or curly/stringy fur, like a wirehaired dog or a Poodle.

Least favorites-

I honestly don't have any least favorite breeds, but I'm not particularly fond of small yappy dogs or "princess" dogs. Nor do I really care for the bully breeds. They just don't look as welcoming and adorable as other breeds! They look all big and tough and they hardly have any fluffiness! It'd be like hugging a big muscle rather then hugging a fluffball! :D And flat faces are a BIG nogo for me. I love Pugs, but I've heard you have to clean out their "Face folds" or else they could get infections or something, and when I heard that I honestly got a little sick to my stomach =P

My top 1o favorite would have to be:
1. Chihuahua- They're just so small and adorable!
2. Yorkshire Terrier- They're so nice and sweet, and hardly ever get too dirty.
3. Poodle- So fluffy and pretty!
4. Schipperke- Total livewires and are a ball of fun.
5. Minature Pinscher- I don't have any experience at all with them, but I think they are just adorable!
6. Pomeranian- So sweet and gorgeous.
7. Maltese- Such blurs of white fluff. Very sweet.
8. Corgis- Their stubbiness just makes them better.
9. Labrador Retriever- I love how they're so posed and have great texture.
10. Dachsund- They're very cute and nice, always licking people with their cold tongues and noses.

I have absolutely no dis-likes, I enjoy all. :D

Top breed not just being bias. These are the dogs that I feel are good for familes/companionship based on intelligence, strength, beauty but above all a great family dog and companion. I have based this wyself having been raised with or owning these dogs. As far as I'm concerned all dogs RULE!

2.Border collie (speed, intelligence)
3.Lab (similar qualities to the golden)
4.Collie(intelligence beauty)

Too many dogs to choose. Not really into the small dogs though I do love them I like the bigger dogs with almost human like qualities.
