Hi all
i am owned and operated by a gorgeous GSD named Bearla. I purchased her from Grandview kennel in Ontario. Bearla was purchased as a present for my hubby after his beloved wolf, KING died of old age. He was heart broken and dispondent. I know alot of police officers, K9 handlers in Toronto who have gorgeous dogs and asked them where they got theirs. We have always had GSD so with that in mind, i wanted to get my hubby another one. They all told me the same thing, Grandview Kennels just on the outskirts of Toronto.

I took one look at her and that was it. She has had alot of health issues but she means so much too us.

we are extremely happy to be here with you

alot of health issues doesnt sound that good, is it her? I guess it wasnt common for the other german shepards you talked with was it? Where did you hubby get a wolf from? I would love to hear alot more about the wolf. I am glad the wolf made it to old age, and I am sorry for your losses. I hope your GSD becomes healthy and stays like that because you both desever it :)

Hi Doggie
All animals have their little health quirks i guess. Some of hers are from foods that just dont agree with her. She is on a special science diet ID now. It is a perscription diet.

She is a fantastic dog though. At least i dont have to worry about issues like hip dysplasia or elbow dysplasia because there has never been a case of it yet in her family. That i gues is from good and very careful breeding.
My husband had found the wolf on a farm on the outskirts of the cirty. A woman had been breeding them and selling them. Her adds depicted Samoyen cross but it was for obvious reasons. It is frowned upon to be breeding wolves. I miss the old man. He was a fantastic and gentle guy. He was pure black with a small white diamond on his chest. He was huge. He weighed in at alittle over 100 lbs. When he died he was extremely old for a wolf. I think he would have lived alot longer if he had not developed bloat/torsion of the stomach. We did not know at that time that you are not supposed to feed a wolf, samoyeen or shepherd, etc on a elevated platform because that apprently increases the chances of bloat/torsion. Had i known then he would have lived longer, hopefully. We are extremely careful as to how we feed our new girl. What a doll she is! She weighs in at a hefty 85 lbs. She is not fat, she is muscular. Her breeder breeds them large i think because all of the dogs from there are pretty big. The breeder has a fantastic history. She is one of the few that has never had a history of hip problems/elbow problems. She has never had a problem with other things either. Our girl is fantastic, she is also quite brilliant even if i do so say so myself. She seems to know exactly when i am going to have a seizure or a vertigo episode and will grab my wrist and lead me to the bed room. When she does this i automatically go and lay down now

My dog doesn't seem to like GSD or get along well, I guess now thats a lie, there was one he didnt seem to mind much, at the vet clinic there was a nice lady there with her german shepard, maybe a light growl from them but they seemed to be alright. All the GSD I seen are "BIG" lol some arn't even a year old and they look adult. It's crazy!! I seen that in a few other purebreds. Aw your lucky to own a wolf, my friend I guess you can call her has a wolf, she took it out of the den and all the other pups were died, and the people killed the mom more then likely for her fur, so know that wolf lives with her. I am so mad at peoplee doing that, to bad none of the other pups made it. I really want a wolf or wolf mix, I told my family that and they are like NO! They also threaten not coming to visit me lol. I am short for my age so that might be a factor.

I am sorry I don't understand this:

people who are going out and hunting these poor animals down and killing them and taking the pups should be arrested and i would never consider one a friend. You dont want a wolf or a mix hun. believe me. From the sound of it, you really do not have the experience necessary to handle a dog of this type. Wolves are not easy to raise, half breed or otherwise. They can turn as they age and they should remain where they are supposed to be, in the wild. What kind of dog do you have that it doesnt like a GSD? GSD get along with most breeds, depending on how the dog interacts with them and how well the owner is socializing the dog.
