yes they can be noisy. mine is a big suck most of the time. He has certain people that he doesnt like but then i guess we are all like that.
I have been fighting the ban for a long time. We had one part over turned they can no longer define what a true pitbull is. So it is making it harder on them to take a dog in or force a spay/neuter.

I never thought of them having such a bark,
I always image them with a more manly more tougher bark lol.
Are pittbulls nice to other dogs? I would own more then one dog.
Not sure if I should have a pittbull or not.

It depends on how the pitbull is trained. Pits are notorious for fighting. That is how the name PIT bull came about. In truth though, the dog is only as dangerous as the one who trains it. Pits will do anything that they can to please their owners. They will put their life on the line to ensure that their owners are taken care of properly and that they are pleaseing them. the problem is though that some owners train them to be vicious. The dog, in its bid to make the owner happy will do only what it is trained for. With some of these dogs, the issue is also in the breeding itself, if the dogs are not properly bred, and 'fighters' are bred again and again to family members they will become nastier as each generation is born. If the breeders are careful to investigate each line that they want to breed and ensure taht they are not breeding fighters persay, they wont have a problem.

new to this board, found it today while researching the staff. i might be getting one next week from a local guy, with papers.

i found on the internet what to look for as far as medical checks for eyes and hips, traits for ears, tail, and eyes...anything else?

thanks
