This is the first time my Bichon puppy has been in heat. I've read many articles about when the heat cycle begins, how long it usually lasts, don't let her out alone, etc., etc., etc. However, I'm wondering if there is a way that I can definately know she's done with the cycle. There is a male lab that she usually visits and I don't want to bring her around until I'm sure she can't get pregnant.

I don't know how you can tell if the cycle is done, sorry. But if you want to be sure that she won't become pregnant, having a spay will do that.
Sorry, but don't know much about the cycle,

What do you mean "fix"? Sorry, just wanted to clarify. Did you mean spay, like, not allow it to have pups anymore (basically)? That's what I think you meant...
Renee, do you plan on NOT breeding your purebred with another breed, or breeding with another Bichon? Clarify, please.
Bichons are cute!!!
