My Bichon frise is always BEGGING for human food. I know that it isn't good for her, but just how much, if any, can I give her? Centuries ago, dogs ate everything and didn't have special dogfood.

What type of human food are you talking about?

Centuries ago, our diets were very different from what they are today. It really depends on the type of food. French fries really aren't a good idea, but a little bite of roast probably wouldn't hurt. I've heard that carrots and other fresh vegetables are great for them, but you might want to check and make sure what you want to feed isn't posionous to her.
