when do i start puppy classes?

i have a 12 week old portuguese waterdog puppy and have been working with her on basic comands like sit and down. i am planning on enrolling her in a puppy class but have no idea when a good time to do so would be. i've heard that 5 months is a good itme for professional training and i've heard that i should start her off right now. help!

From my experience, a good time to enroll a puppy in that kind of course is around 10 weeks of age, and definitely no later than five months. If you wait that long, it's possibly for the puppy to have already developed some bad habits that will be hard to reverse.

Call the training facility and ask how YOUNG they will take the puppy. Most I think wait until they are 16 weeks old.
