I know this is the dog pictures section of the forum... but I have a picture of a flea with some dog hair, so I hope that counts.
My seven year old upland lab has never had fleas before now. Suddenly she began itching and scratching about two weeks ago and although I did not see any fleas on her, I decided it was time for a bath. She was unusually cooperative in the process, so I think it felt really good to get all lathered up. After a good rinse and getting bundled in a towel, she even agreed to wait until she was outside to shake! I went back to the bath to inspect the suds for fleas, and sure enough I found two... evidence attached.
So finally, my question. What is the best way to get rid of fleas and soothe her skin?
