dog-door breaking

hi, i just got a new dog door for my dog. he doesnt really seem to understand the concept of it though. any ideas on how i can teach him to use it?

Put something delicious and aromatic on the other side of it and he'll get the idea pretty quick.

Yeah, I agree. He probably just needs a little help figuring out that the door isn't going to hurt him. Try encouraging him to come through and rewarding him when he does.

Thank you for the welcome. I am glad to be here and am a dog lover!!! I have a 10 year old Maltese, and a 13 week cavalier king charles spaniel. They are both girls. I am looking forward to talking with you all.
