Hi! I'm new to the forums and am currently in the process of researching different breeds and trying to learn as much about raising puppies as possible. I'm planning on getting a puppy in a few months and just want to make sure I think of everything before I decide which puppy to get (because this will be my first puppy to raise fully on my own :) )

as a breeder of eight years please research your first breed carefully. Pick a very hardy breed, one that is not being over-bred (example: labadors) Breeding is a huge responsiblity and alot of work. don't think that it is all fun and games. It is a time consuming and expensive endeavor if done correctly, not a get rich quick plan. all puppies need to be vet checked, vaccinated and well socialized. I wish you luck, please be a responsible breeder if it is what you decide to do. good luck.
