I have been researching dog breeds and pretty much have decided on miniature pinschers, but I still have a few more months to research before I get a puppy. However, my family has always gotten two puppies at the same time and I am seriously considering two minpins. I know this will probably be difficult (training, having to get to know them individually and together), but I feel that there are so many benefits to having two dogs grow up together.
I just wanted to know if anyone had any opinions...am I completely wrong in this idea, is there stuff I'm not thinking of?
Any input would be valued... thanks.

if you were a first time puppy owner, i would say no to two pups at the same time. but since you've been around an environment where two pups is the norm, i'd say that should be fine. you know what you're getting yourself into, which is great! i'd say go for it. if you're prepared, which is sounds like you're in the process of being so, then do it.

Having two puppies is not necessarily a bad thing, just as long as each pup has individual time. Littermates will always share a special bond, and individual time with you will insure that they bond with you as well. It seems that you realize it will be twice the mess, training, food, and time, and if you are comitted to it, then by all means, go for it! I have 2 Min Pins myself...Stoli is 6 months old and Sierra is a 3 year old rescue girl. They seem to keep each other company and are a good match for one another. Here are some pictures of my girls...

go for it, have them both grow up together is a great idea...just crate train the pair of them and you will see awesome results.
