My dog eats poo

My 6 month old female chocolate lab eats poo! We got her when she was 4 1/2 months and she has always done it. Our 3 1/2 year old male golden lab has NEVER done that. When we tell her NO, she stops, but will go back to it or eat more when she finds it. We have lots of woods and trails behind our house (we live in Maine) and the dogs are free to roam, but we are always close by. But we can't tromp in the middle of the woods and watch that she don't eat it. HELP!

hi kathylp. I heard something about that it is due to them not having enough to eat or something like that. There are pills that you can give them that will do something to the poop to where it makes it taste wrong. You can find them in any pet store. I usually buy my stuff from muttmart.com. They have awesome prices and have everything. Hope this helps.

Its normal. They eat poo cause they taste everything they think is food. Even babies eat poo :D

sometime they eat their poop if their body lacks something.. my dog use to eat it then after a while i had him on vitamins and iron he stopped so give it a try.

Hey guys I just heard that eating chicken poo gives ur dog some additional nutrients. It' True.

hiya my pup used to do this aswell. i got told it was either something to do with lack of vitamins or if you have told her off for pooing inside or something then she is trying to clear the mess b4 you see it. with mine i did tell him off a couple of times but as soon as i started ignoring it he stopped. hope this helps.
