I have a new puppy and I am concerned about applying flea treatments to a puppy, when is it safe to treat a new puppy?

How old is your puppy? Puppies can be treated for fleas at about 6 weeks old. I use a product called Advocate, its a monthly spot treatment. It treats fleas & all intestinal worms (except tapeworm ) aswell as heartworm, ear mites & mange. It can be used on puppies from 7 weeks of age. I think its a great treatment because it treats everything in one monthly dose & saves me from buying separate products for everything. I'm in Australia, but it is made from a company called Bayer & I'm sure you can get it in most countries.
Good luck!

yes i agree. . . puppies need at least 6 weeks before you can apply the treatment.. . .puppies may have allergies if they are treated early. they still have soft and sensitive skin. their furs may not be enough to help for the treatment.
