View Full Version : Hip problems
I am almost positive that my dog has Hip Displacia, which wouldn't surprise me seeing how she has both german shepherd and siberian husky, and I don't know what to do. She loves to be outside and her hip doesn't bother her until that night. I need advice as to what to do. Please help her.

swimming is great for a dog with joint problems, its low impact and you can keep your canine afloat with a doggie life vest. talk with your vet about it first and go from there.
Thanks for the advice but there is a small problem. She doesn't like swimming. I have brought her to the lake before and she wades up to her stomach. i will give it a shot with the live vest though. Thanks again

I'm sorry to hear that your dog is having hip problems. I've seen this thing on tv. A vet came up with a spray that you can spray in the dogs water. So maybe you could ask your vet about. i'm sorry don't no the name of the spray.

Hello My Brother had a germen short haired point. And He toke her to the vet. The vet said that it was because the breeder over breed the dogs mother. when i see that thing spray on tv. I will send you i message? I'm Sorry about your dog.

That may be a reason. Lydi is German Shepherd, Huskie, Golden Retriever, and Rotty. Also it could just be the certain breeds that she has. (I think that her mother was only bred once. The father had all the mixes and her mom was a Rotty, I think,)
