I was reading the thread by tomer chen and it reminded me of an article i read about this same thing. That commercial foods are actually poison. I am only posting this as informational. I am currently trying to personally find ways to change what my dogs eat. I use to feed them proplan but after reading this article i am desperate to make a switch.

Increase the lifespan of your dog by up to 134%!!! That's interesting but the entire page is a bit vague!

The best home made dog food would be a combination of all the nutrition-rich ingredients in it. So care should be taken to make the dog-food as meat-based and supplies quality protein – egg white (egg shells are very best if ground as powder and mixed in the preparation), chicken, ground turkey; beef; lamb or fish; carbohydrates like wheat; corn; oats; brown rice; barley or soy; vegetables like carrot; beetroot; cabbage or potato. The prepared dog-food can be put in the refrigerator but not for more than three days.

I personally feel that this is really a good book. It saves a lot of your time, which you might give while searching on web.
