Hello fellow dog lovers,

I'm new to this forum. I've wanted a great dane for a number of years now but my folks are terrified of dogs especiallys ones that are bigger than me and I'm 6"1 haha....

so it's a pipe dream for me right now but I want to learn more about the breed so I can make an educated choice when I get one.

I think if you want one, go for it. Of course, you should wait if your parents don't want you to get one. But eventually, definitely try and go for it.
