New and with a problem

Hello everyone. I'm brand new and not sure what to do. I am married with two grown daughters and three Grandkids. I have a Miniature Schnauzer that is 14 months old. I also have a problem and I am hoping for HELP. My neighbor's dog is in heat and my dog is going crazy. I don't know what to do for him. Does anyone know how to ease the pain for him? I guess having him fixed is the only answer. This is the first time this has happened.
Please help.

having him fixed is a good thing no matter what. Dogs unfixed are almost always stressed about territory/ females, and are also twice as prone to different types of cancers. www.wonderpuppy.net has really good links to more info about spay/neutering.

siberianhusky is right. If you have no intentions of breeding your dog then it's best for him to have him fixed.

Thanks to all of you and I agree. He has an appointment Feb. 27 to be fixed.I was going to breed him but He is to stressed out and I can't handle it.
