I registered with this site in hopes of finding someone to help me with a problem that i have with my Siberian Husky. He is a 3 year old Male, with a marking problem. I have a roommate and husband that would like to get rid of him, but I would like to fix the problem instead of just getting rid of him. That is his only problem that he has. I've been told that getting him neutered this late may not fix the problem. Is there anything else that I can do??? I don't want to lose him, but nobody else here has the patience for him like I do. Please help.:(

Try using peeing pills that prevent them from un-expectedly peeing.
Is this what you mean by 'marking'? Sorry if you're not. :-/
Also talk to a vet about this, they can provide pills and information.
Good luck! Keep us updated!

usually dogs will mark only certain areas, try rubbing him down with a towel and setting where he is marking and also make sure that the urine is thoroughly cleaned with a pet stain/odor remover. (make sure it doesnt have amonia in it or they will be attracted back. he may also be feeling that he is the dominant dog in the household. make sure that you are the one in charge in his life.

Spaying/neutering is the the best thing you can do for your best friend. here's some more information on it. http://www.wonderpuppy.net/neuter.htm
and its true that neutering may not completely stop it, but it will make it much easier to train him out of it.

Thank you to both, I'm willing to try just about anything to keep him. He is a great dog, besides the marking part :)

Hi,

I noticed that you say "He is a 3 year old Male, with a marking problem." I was wondering if that is a NEW problem, or a life-long problem. A little more information on the specifics could help us give good advice.

Hi,
No this is not a new problem, he has been doing it for a while now. I'm not sure what other specifics you would like to have. Though what ever you think is necessary to have, please let me know. I will gladly tell you anything you would like.
