Hi there, adopting a goldie oldie!

Hi there, we are shortly adopting a 10yr old lab from the rescue centre. He was taken there after his elderly owners were taken into a nursing home and there was no-one to look after him. I've had a labrador before, many years ago, and adore them. Any tips from anyone on how to look after this elderly gent? I know he hasn't got many years left, but the thought of him living his last few years in a cold rescue kennel is too much! Hope to hear from someone soon! :)

since he is older look for a dog bed thats raised a little higher so he doesnt have to go through so much effort to get on and off it (some PetSmarts carry doggie cots that are raised about 5 inches off the ground) you can get a warming pad to put over it that will feel nice on his aging joints.
