how much should i feed my puppy?

i have a 9 weeks old pom and im just wondering how much i feed him? i want to feed him 3 times a day. i bought IAMS puppy formula, on the back it says 1 cup daily... so would i split that cup up into 3 feedings?

In my opinion, just feed your pup twice a day. Its not good to make the puppy too full. Besides, doesnt it drink milk from its mother?.

9 weeks old still considering as puppy. He will turn into adult dog at 12 months old. So you will need to feed him PUPPY FOOD three times daily as this is the growing stage where they will need all the nutrition for growth and development.

You can follow the puppies food formula to feed him and adjust according to his weight. You might want to give him some supplement (vitamin) to help the growth and development.

A pup and older dog should never be fed once a day. No free feeding either. How much weight would a person pack on if they ate once a day? If your food calls for eg 5 cups once day split it up throught the day. Even with adult dogs split the amount to twice a day. For my pup at 10 weeks I fed him three times a day along with my own food which I made and added to his meal.

I agree. I typically feed a puppy of this age 3x a day. As for amount, I would start with what the recommendations on the bag (divided up into the 3 meals) and adjust according to body condition from there. Good luck!
