Seeing eye dogs on college campuses

I really love seeing eye dogs, just because they are a perfect reflection of the intelligence and ability of dogs that many people don't realize. I was reading a cool story on CNN (actually at http://www.cnn.com/2007/EDUCATION/01/02/dorm.room.dogs.ap/index.html) that talks about a program at Rowan, thought up by a Dean and his wife who have raised seeing-eye dogs personally.

The story is unique because in this case the students are actually raising the dogs for others to use later in the pup's life.

thats a great idea. it teaches kids more responsibility. i really like it. and the dogs are doing something really great. it must be so rewarding to take part in such an awesome experience. how did you and your wife get into raising seeing eye dogs?
