basset hounds

Thanks for your responses about the miniature schnauzer. I have been researching them more and it seems that they would require a lot of exercise and I am wanting to get a less energetic dog. I am going to be able to give about 1 hour a day of walking. I've been researching basset hounds and they seem like a good fit. I have had a beagle before so I know what hounds are like. So I was just wanting to any info on them or any stories about them. Thanks
