Need Help ... soon Please....

Hi all
I just rescued a girl Doberman about 2years old.... She has been through a lot and was in need of a good home......
Her name is Mia.... I found a great home for her in San Fransisco California with my son and his partner and there son Julian ( 5 years old)...
They have a beagle ( Zeak) about 12 years old and the Alpha of the house....
They also had Gus a Pit bull who died last year at the age of 10 from cancer after thousands of dollars spent on Kemo and meds....So these are great dog owners......
Zeak has been very lonley since the passing of Gus.... so when Mia camw a lone and was in such need of a home I thought of them ....
They also just bought a new large home in Pacific Heights and were ready for Mia....
After the expense of travel crate... Airline ticket..... Vet app for all shots and travel document... and a very long drive to Philadelphia Airport and finally getting her on the plane last night... it seamed like the beginning of a
wonderful new life......Well..... My phone call this morning left me worried that this might not work out at all.... Mia is not being nice to Zeak.... She is growling at him and not trying to be friends... and my son is worried that Mia could easily kill Zeak...I need some help ASAP...as to the temperament of the Doberman with other animals , and what to do .... this is getting off to a very bad beginning...... and Mia is so sweet and fragile... I just don't get it...

I'm very sorry that this dog has a chance of killing another dog! :eek: If everything is that serious, maybe you should take Mia away and keep her yourself, or possibly giving Mia to a seperate home of friends and helping Zeak's family get a new dog. Perhaps you could train Mia to be nicer around dogs. Maybe this dog was abused by other dogs and is just scared of Zeak, but soon they'll grow to be friends. :( I'm really sorry if none of this works out, maybe Mia just hasn't adapted to her new life. Also, the family could try seperating Zeak and Mia so they won't be together that much, although that wouldn't probably be a good idea because they'll have to live with two fighting dogs for a while. :o Maybe that family could try asking their vet for more information or helpfulness. Thanks for responding...... Well as of to night things are looking better.....
I was worried...Zeak is little and Mia is a tall 85lb dog and I wouldn't forgive myself if Mia hurt Zeak.... To day they hung out and all is going much better...Mia still shows her teeth at Zeak but has not bitten him..... I dint know anything about Doby's..... My bread of choice is my pit bull's who are the most loving dogs I have ever owned.... I cant bring another dog here .....and the expence of flying this dog is up around the $900 mark now so if it don't work with them I guess it will be a Doby Rescue in San Fransisco.... It would take Mia to attack Zeak for that to happen.... I need the "Dog Whisper "
