I have been involved with Alaskan Malamutes since the 1960's, and finished my first AKC champion in the 1970's. Schipperkes have been part of our family since 1999. I am currently approved to judge 4 breeds for the AKC, and will be applying for more in the near future. Owyhee has consistently produced winning dogs. To date we have 28 champions, multiple Specialty winners, and #1 dogs in the NY/NJ Area. Our dogs are not only beautiful, they are healthy, sweet tempered and multi-faceted, in that some have won titles in obedience, agility, and rally. We are a small kennel that tries to do right by our breeds.

Riptide is a long-time breeder of champion Schipperkes. As a recognized and responsible breeder, we are dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of the Schipperke breed. Our breed lines are carefully selected and crossed according to breed standard requirements. Because of our dedication to the Schipperke breed, we are also actively involved in Schipperke Rescue, working to find forever homes for homeless Schipperkes. Both pet and show quality puppies are occasionally available. All pet sales and rescue placements must be accompanied by a spay/neuter contract.
