I started showing, grooming, & breeding Silver Standard Poodles in 1965. My husband & I have a small show home. Our pups are from our Dual Ring (Breed & Obedience) Show Dogs that have been genetically screened, & raised in our home. Pups receive early neurological stimulation, housebreaking started at 2 1/2 weeks,crate trained, separation trained, obedience trained, Temperament Tested, and well socialized. Some of our pups have earned: Championships, Herding, Hunting/Retriever, Obedience, Agility, Rally,and Therapy Dog titles. We had a genetic advisor, do no inbreeding, & occasionally have a litter in White, Blue, & Silver ONLY. NO Blacks, parti-or mixed breedings. Autumn Mist is a small family home based kennel located in Northern Illinois. Our focus is breeding quality, well socialized, AKC Standard Poodles reasonably priced for companion homes. We offer a written health guarantee against genetic/congenital illness. We always offer lifetime breeder support, and strive to produce Standards with excellent temperaments, intelligence and soundness in body and mind. When you receive your puppy it will be up to date on shots and all our pups are wormed on a regular basis. Tails docked at standard show length and dew claws removed by a vet. They are not kept outside in a kennel, but share our home and time. They will have been started on basic training and will be doing very well with "outside" commands. They are well socialized to small children and other dogs. We offer Sunday afternoon visitation to those new parents who buy young, so they can watch their baby grow and we get to know each other. We regularly post pictures of every pup in our photo gallery so you can watch your puppy grow and have puppy pictures. I only have one to two litters a year, breeding beautiful Parti and Solid.
