The mission of Houston Collie Rescue is to rescue Collies in need of new homes. To ensure that all necessary veterinary work, including spay or neuter, is completed, to perform temperament testing to ensure that the Collie is adoptable. The adoption process includes an application, interview, veterinary reference, and home check to place each Collie in the best possible permanent home.

We have been owned by Collies for 20 years and breed sound, healthy Collies of exceptional beauty and intelligence. All of our Collies are fully screened for health including OFA, thyroid, cardiac, CEA and MDR1. Our puppies are placed with full health guarantees, microchipped, fully vaccinated, with a copy of their eye exam (most of our collies are normal eyed). Swan Collies can be found in the show ring, the agility ring, the obedience ring, serving as therapy dogs in hospitals and keeping watch over the families. We currently have our 2007 litter available. They will be ready for their new homes in July as well as one young show prospect and two 13 mo old pups looking for loving pet homes.
